Reality Check: Exposing Specious Anti-Religious Arguments

WHAT THIS PRIMER IS:

This primer is intended to dispel misconceptions, stereotypes, and myths held by anti-religious atheists , epseically by those who:

Claim that religion is responsible for every form of oppresion, war, and injustice,
Believe that purging religion from society will leave the world better off,
Believe that their atheism makes them intellectually superior to theists or religious people, or
Wish to revoke the basic human right of religious freedom by denying others the freedom to practice it.

The primer attempts to make a distinction between the concept of atheism and atheism's zealots.

This primer will educate atheists (and everyone else) on the reality behind the misconceptions, stereotypes, and myths that atheist zealots propagate about themselves, religion, and theism in general.

Therefore, this primer seeks to defend all theist beliefs from militant atheist prejudice, and promote religious tolerance by doing so.

WHAT THIS PRIMER IS NOT:

This primer does not intend to prove the existence of God to atheists, nor does it condone persecution of atheists based on their lack of or denial in belief concerning the divine's existence.

Atheists have just as much a right to their denial and disbelief. However, as is the case with all religious groups, they do not have the right to persecute and force their beliefs onto others.
