Rambling

Man, when news of this broke out, I was swamped by people showing it to me. Sniff the Raven was the first across the finish line, though. Even though he isn't currently playing RO (as of this comic that is) he keeps a close tab on RO updates, and this one really grabbed him. Hard. Shook him around a bit. Then tossed him out a window like a pissed off rodeo bronco. People've been wanting me to comment on this, though ... honestly, I don't have much of an opinion on this yet. The test is young, and they're going to be doing a lot of changes, experiments, and adjustments with their new model (they have to—they can't just change the basic stat model and leave all the equipment/skills unadjusted). It could be good. It could be bad. Right now, it just ranks as very, very different.

I can tell you my hopes, though. I hope that this system isn't engineered to force an obsolescence of non-trans/third classes. However, that's how things are looking; Doddler, the current go-to man for info fresh off the kRO presses, said that this was specifically made to add and improve on current game content—that is, being able to feasibly add third classes. Gravity still seems dead-set on their changed decision to make third classes a new tier above trans classes rather than their original announcement to make trans and third classes separate but balanced paths ... and my concerns/
frustrations with that I've well noted in the past. I was going to try and work in a reference to James Bond here "Shaken ... not stirred!" along with "stirring the pot" but as they say in the vernacular ... I can't brain today, I have the dumb.
